The major objectives of these consultations was to provide a forum for people with a disability to have direct input and information on their views on the subjects covered in the governmental discussion paper "National Employment Initiatives for People with Disabilities" (File No. 3051), its recommendations and strategies. This report has led to some significant changes (both positive and negative) specifically with regard to wages and working conditions of people with disabilities in Australia.
