Once Upon a Time… Stories about Community Work

A collection of stories by paid community workers which highlights the variety present in both the theory and practice of community work. The book is useful for both other workers and community members. Workers get a chance to reflect on their current work and develop new ideas. As one of the editors states, the development of a ‘theory’ of community work will come from critical reflections on practices. But community development work is never only done by paid workers. In this sense, active community members and families get a chance to think about the complexity that is ‘community’. Keywords: Community development, Professionals
