Navigating NDIS

Despite the fact that the NDIS aims to give people with disability more flexibility and control, advocacy is just as important as ever. This is because power still resides largely with those groups implementing change – the government, the bureaucracy, and non-government service providers. Vigorous advocacy is needed to ensure the views and goals of your family members with disability are heard and acted upon. Without it, decisions will keep being made for them rather than with them.

Our team is here to provide guidance over the phone on a range of NDIS-related issues, including:
  • Preparing for an annual plan review
  • Advocating for your family member if you’re unhappy with their NDIS plan and want a review
  • Understanding documentation received from the NDIA
  • Deciding whether an appeal is the right step
  • General troubleshooting

For assistance with any NDIS problem, reach out to Family Advocacy at 9869 0866 or 1800 620 588, or email us at communications@family-advocacy.com .
