- General Cancellation Terms
- If you cancel before ‘close of business’ two weeks before the event, you won’t be charged administration fee.
- If you cancel one week before the event, organisations and professionals may incur an administrative fee. (Professionals may incur a 50% fee, and people with disability and family members may incur a 15% fee.) Please email communications@family-advocacy.com to confirm.
- Cancellation and Refund Processes
- If you would like to cancel your registration, cancellations must be advised by emailing communications@family-advocacy.com at your earliest convenience.
- If you arrive late or do not show up for the event without prior notice, a refund may not be given.
- Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to request for a full or partial refund please send an email to communications@family-advocacy.com.
- For internal purposes only, any refund requests need be directed to the Advocacy and Inclusion Senior Manager.
- All assessments and responses will be responded to by the Advocacy and Inclusion Senior Manager in a timely manner.
- Refunds will be processed using the original payment method. If this is not possible, an alternative method will be discussed.
- Health and Safety Considerations
- Refunds are generally not available for cancellations made within the week prior to the workshop. However, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, a full refund may be considered upon provision of evidence of a positive RAT result.
- Attendees must adhere to all health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the event, including any/all COVID-19 protocols.
- Transferring Registrations
- If you cannot attend a paid or free event but have registered a spot, attendance can be transferred to someone else without penalty. Please email our team at communications@family-advocacy.com if you choose to transfer your spot, so our team may adjust catering requirements or space.
- Event Cancellation or Rescheduling by Family Advocacy
- If Family Advocacy or Resourcing Inclusive Communities cancels the event, a full refund will be given.
- Refunds may take up to 14 business days to process, depending on your financial institution.
- Attendees will be notified of any significant changes policy or event changes and updates via email in a timely manner.
- While we strive to minimise, any inconvenience caused by such changes, Family Advocacy is not liable for any costs or expenses incurred by attendees as a result of these changes.
- If the event is rescheduled by Family Advocacy or Resourcing Inclusive Communities, your registration will automatically transfer to the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, a full refund will be provided.
- Large Events and High-Cost Training Sessions
- For larger events (such as conferences or specialised workshops), cancellations made within 3 weeks prior to the event date will incur a non-refundable fee of 50% of the total registration cost. To avoid this penalty, we encourage early cancellations. Please note that this policy is designed to account for the extensive planning and resources required for such events.
- Force Majeure and Special Circumstances
- In case of events beyond Family Advocacy’s control (natural disasters, etc.), cancellations may be subject to different terms.
- If you have special circumstances affecting your attendance, please contact us as soon as possible on 1800 620 588.
- Partial Attendance and Refunds
- If you attend only part of the event no partial refunds will be given. This includes if you choose to leave the event early. In this case you, will not be entitled to a refund.
- Discretionary Rights and Liabilities
- Family Advocacy reserves the right to make changes to the event details, including but not limited to the date, time, location, agenda, and speakers, at its sole discretion.
- Family Advocacy reserves the right to uphold and interpret the cancellation and refund policy on a case-by-case basis.
- Family Advocacy is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from event cancellation or rescheduling.
