Compendium of Project Profiles 1990

The Compendium is an annual publication of the Transition Institute at Illinois and is intended for specific use by those involved in the transition from school to work of young people with disabilities in the United States. Through a five year contract with the federal Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), the Transition Institute is studying the issues and problems related to secondary education and transitional services. One of the major activities is to collect, summarise and disseminate information about model programs funded under OSERS Secondary Education and Transition Services Initiative. The dissemination of descriptive data (that is, without analysis) is intended to facilitate efforts to ensure the long range impact of the Initiative upon both school and community based programs (pp.7-12).
