Integrated employment

These notes were taken by Wendy McGlynn, a parent who attended a seminar by Bruce Uditsky (an educator who has worked extensively with families, individuals with disabilities and organisations). Uditsky argues that enclaves and mobile work crews are merely extensions of sheltered workshops and he provides a definition of integrated employment which he considers to be inclusive in its most true sense. He looks at the needs involved, describes some difficulties with current models such as Job Coach Model and also describes some alternatives to employment. Keyword: Employment
