Can different views on normalisation/SRV be reconciled? This article reports a discussion between Simon Stevens (who has a disability and is a campaigner for disability rights) and Paul Williams (who is a non-disabled teacher of normalisation). Their mutual exploration of the place of normalisation/SRV brings greater understanding of its role in addressing discrimination, inequality, oppression, unconsciousness and devaluation.
