The Homecoming Model

The homecoming model has enabled 26 participating Vermont (USA) school districts to provide inclusive education to students who have presented some of the most intensive educational challenges within regular classrooms. The Homecoming Model is based on the concept of “shared ownership”among regular and special educators for the education of students with disabilities within regular classrooms in local public schools. This booklet includes details of the consultative approach within the process and provides examples of pro-formas used. Keyword: Education, School age
