The Integration Aide – A Handbook

This is the third booklet in the “Supporting Inclusive Schooling” series. The booklet is based on the experiences of many integration aides, school staff, students and parents. While some of the material specifically refers to Victoria Government policy and procedures for integration, it contains a wealth of information and strategies for aides, including “standing up” for the student’s inclusion, orientation of new aides, working with students and teachers, preparation and resources for class work and liaising with parents. The booklet is interspersed with positive stories of students with disabilities being supported by an aide. File Nos. 3134, 3135, and 3137-3139 complete the series.
