Dr Gemma Ma – Committee Member

Gemma is a veterinarian with a deep commitment to social justice, and a dedicated advocate defending her eldest son’s right to access mainstream education as a child with a physical and intellectual disability. Confronted by pervasive and structural ableism, Gemma is now committed to helping other families advocate for their loved ones, while working to create more inclusive systems for all. In her professional role, Gemma has over a decade of experience working in shelter medicine and animal welfare at RSPCA NSW.
