Driven by a deep commitment to equity and inclusion, Melissa shares Family Advocacy’s goal and efforts to drive change towards a just and inclusive society. It is her passionate belief that supporting, empowering and developing families is a sustainable model for advocating for the rights and interests of people with developmental disability.
As a CPA with a rich and diverse background in the commercial world, Melissa provides financial support, guidance and insight to assist the Management Committee and teams across the organisation in making informed decisions that contribute towards the achievement of the organisation’s vision and purpose.

Family Advocacy supports and encourages families and allies of people with disability to become members of our organisation. Membership enables you to connect with like-minded people around NSW who aim to achieve positive change for people with disability. Members can also have pivotal roles in both our systemic advocacy work, workshop development, and presentations.
