Inclusion is not just about physical presence, it is about friendship and having a sense of belonging. This video shows the implementation of the Circle of Friends concept at a Victorian school by teacher Marion Spencer aimed at achieving this for Ashley, one of her students. In response to interview questions, Spencer describes the process of setting up the circle. This includes how she prepared and involved the class. Once the idea was trialled, it took off, receiving much support from the children. This video is accompanied by a manual giving valuable information about circles of friends and other information related to inclusive schooling. It includes ideas on the ways families can support inclusion. Running time: 36 mins. Keywords: Education, School age, Friendship
