David Jory is the parent of a young man with intellectual disability. He is also a professor at a Canadian University. In this commentary, Jory argues passionately against differentiating people solely on the basis of assessment test scores. In particular, he argues that these are used as tools for excluding people with intellectual disabilities from educational opportunities...and from life itself. Jory believes that Universities should be held accountable for the systematic teaching and practice of segregation. He also draws attention to the involvement of Universities in research that leads to eugenics-based attacks on people with intellectual disabilities. Keywords: Attitudes, Ethics
