Freddie and the Fairy

Book

Freddie longs for a pet, but when fairy Bessie-Belle grants his wish, miscommunication arises due to Freddie's mumbling and Bessie-Belle's hearing impairment. Thankfully, the Fairy Queen steps in, teaching them both to speak clearly and avoid covering their mouths so Bessie-Belle can read lips. With improved communication, they finally find joy in fulfilling Freddie's wish for a pet.
