The authors describe the process of facilitating inclusion by a process known as MAPS (McGill Action Planning System), a collaborative process that brings the key actors in a child's life together to create an action plan to be implemented in a regular classroom setting. It builds a circle of support and friendship around one person. The paper includes practical descriptions and various stories relating to people's experiences of MAPS and how it affected their lives.
