What Integration means

Written Material

Explains the historical background that led to the 1984 "Integration Report" in Victoria, how it has been put into practice and the far reaching changes in education for children with disabilities. It outlines the five guiding principles at the heart of the Report and emphasises the fifth principle which states "all children can learn and be taught". This challenges educators to develop original and individual approaches to education which take into account the wide range of differences and skills in all classrooms. Keywords: Education, Integration, School Age
